Established in 2020, through it we raise funds for:
a) create and manage protected areas with broad public participation
b) purchasing valuable natural areas for the protection of conservation of significant ecosystems
c) environmental education and biodiversity awareness raising
d) emergency activities for the conservation of places and habitats (e.g. but not only conduct of litigation, expert opinion and case studies, public opinion surveys, etc.)
e) lobbying and biodiversity conservation policies
f) conservation activities, lobbying and policies, and activities to increase public engagement in the Lake Atanasovsko and Natura 2000 area
The Biodiversity Fund is financed by:
- Designated donations
- Donations of products and services for a cause
- 50% of the annual profit from the BBF's business activities
