Local people in Bulgarevo village stopped the new project for Wind mills

The inhabitants of Bulgarevo village, Municipality of Kavarna, revolted against the building of Wind-mill parks near the village. According to them, it will destroy the life conditions, as well as the rare ecosystems and birds and will decrease the tourism possibilities of the region.

A court for the violator

16 turtles were found by police officer of Harmanli RPD in the car of local resident. The Police officer immediately informed RIEW Haskovo and Georgi Popgeorgiev from BSPB Plovdiv. The expert assessment was made by Stefan Avramov from BBF. He values the damage for 8000 leva. The criminal trail will be next week and the violator may pay till 5000 leva and stay in prison till 5 years.

Zelenika Festival in Strandja

The forth edition of the Zelenika Festival will be organized on May 13th and 14th 2006. This year it will be held in the smallest village of Strandja – Slivarovo (situated behind the border), as well as in the Turkish part of Strandja. The guests of the Fest will visit Dupnitza Cave, rock monastery “St.Nikola” on the coast of the Black Sea and the capital of the last Thracian dynasty – Vise town. The Fest is organizing by the Park Directorate Strandja and Regional Forestry Bourgas. Our partner in Turkey is the biggest ecological Foundation – TEMA.
