International webinars under "Future environmentalists" Programs begin

On 13th of May from 15:30 to 17 EEST (4:30 - 16:00 CET) starts the international webinars under  "Future environmentalists" Programs. The first iя about the Biosphere reserves as a tool for sustainable development. The webinar will be held in zoom platform and is free of charge. After Seville Strategy biosphere reserves are transformed into a dynamic and interactive network of sites of excellence to demonstrate and investigate how environmental, economic and social (including cultural and spiritual) sustainability go together. Nowadays, the world network of Biospheres reserves is composed of more than 600 biosphere reserves in 122 countries, including 20 trans-boundary sites.

In this webinar we will present to your attention more about the MaB programme and the UNESCO Biosphere reserves conception, while focusing on its goals and the process of its development in Bulgaria and around Europe..

We will also inspire you with examples from all over the world on best practice in biosphere reserves management and their use for bridging nature and people. Participants in the webinar will also have the chance to learn more about the possibility to join in the next UNESCO Summer university on integrated management, sustainable tourism and promotion of BRs which happening in Bulgaria this July.
