The day was very important because of the closing event, where the participant should have summarized and present their ideas, suggestions and recommendations for the successful management of BR Central Balkan in front of the deputy mayor Bistra Cholakova, representatives of local institutions, business, media and local people from the region of Troyan Municipality.
It started with group work and a talk about Sustainable Tourism presented by Eleonora Yosifova from Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism. She shared different forms of alternative tourism, which can be developed at BRs.
After the session, the participants used the time to shape their presentations and focused their last efforts on group work because they had to present later that that day.
After lunch and right before leaving for Troyan, the participants had the chance to learn more about Botanical tours as an educational and promotional tool by Rossen Vassilev from Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation. His interesting presentation provoked a discussion about the increased interest and great potential of such activities, as well as citizens’ science. Right after the end of the talk, the participants left for Troyan.
The closing session was held on 26th of July from 5pm at the Cultural Information Centre in Troyan. More information about the event and the recommendations of the participants see here.
