The team of the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation invites you to the premiere of the newest film about Lake Atanasovsko - "Salty People".
"There is no other such natural territory that celebrates a Name day, a Birthday, has a special festival, fairs, exhibitions, art Plein-airs and residencies, nature protection brigades and whatnot. Because there is no other place like it - both a part of the large city of Burgas and an almost wild territory inhabited by hundreds of species. Throughout its more than 100-year history, the lake has faced various challenges, and today is no different. In order to present them, we created a special film "Salty People", says Diyana Kostovska from the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation.
Diyana is one of the characters in the film, who shares how to do business in a protected area such as Atanasovsko Lake, which is a maintained reserve, a Natura 2000 area, a Ramsar site and at the same time the only place where sea salt is collected.
The movie "Salty People" was shot in August 2022 in Lake Atanasovsko. The director and screenwriter is Alexandra Val, the cinematographer is Georgi Chelebiev, and the music and vocals are by Mila Robert and Yavor Karagitliev.
The premiere will be on Athanasov Day, but in the old style (January 31st, 2023) at 7:00 p.m. at the House of Cinema in Sofia. After the screening, there will be a meeting with the film team in the hall, and in the lobby, there will be a "salty" cocktail and an opportunity to get acquainted with the products with a cause from the lake - crystal and table salt, green salt, chocolate with sea salt, Pelican soap, etc.
We are waiting for you - the entrance is with a ticket for a cause - BGN 10 in support of Atanasovsko Lake!
Tickets are available online and on-site at the Cinema House.
